Potomac Family Dining (Applebee's) Raises Over $6,000 for Wounded Warrior Project Through First-Ever "Sizzlin' with Gratitude" Campaign
RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 13, 2025 In honor of Military Appreciation Month this past May, Potomac Family Dining, a proud Applebee's franchise group, partnered with Wounded Warrior Project® to launch its inaugural "Sizzlin' with Gratitude" campaign. The initiative invited guests to enjoy two of Applebee's most beloved sizzling desserts – the indulgent Caramel Apple Pie and the rich Butter Pecan Blondie – with $0.50 from each dessert sold benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.
In addition to dessert sales, guests were encouraged to make $1+ tableside donations to further support the cause. Thanks to the generosity of both guests and team members, the campaign raised an impressive $6,110.50, directly funding vital programs and services for Veterans injured in the line of duty and their families.
"This campaign was more than just a fundraiser," said Ashleigh Michael, Marketing Manager of Potomac Family Dining. "It was a heartfelt thank you to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country. We're proud to stand alongside Wounded Warrior Project in their mission to honor and empower our nation's heroes."
Wounded Warrior Project provides free, life-changing programs and services for wounded veterans and their families, focusing on mental and physical wellness, career counseling, and long-term support. The funds raised through "Sizzlin' with Gratitude" will help ensure these vital resources remain accessible to those who need them most.
