The "Museum Summit 2025," a premier international event in the museum sector, commenced in Hong Kong on March 28, 2025. Co-hosted by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and France’s Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts, the forum brought together global museum leaders. Mr. Li Mengdi, Chairman of Silkroad Visual Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.

The forum brought together over 30 renowned cultural and museum experts and leaders from 17 countries under the theme "Going Beyond." Focusing on four key interdisciplinary approaches — "Museums + Tourism," "Museums + Technology," "Museums + Sustainability," and "Museums + Wellness" — participants collaboratively explored innovative strategies to address 21st-century challenges and opportunities facing global museums.

Confronting rapid shifts in societal conditions, cultural trends, economic landscapes, political dynamics, and geopolitical realities, museums worldwide are proactively modernizing operations to transcend traditional limitations and redefine their societal roles. Experts and scholars at the forum shared professional insights, introducing fresh perspectives to guide institutional evolution and advance innovative strategies for the sector’s future.
